Gremi, through its international holding structure is planning the development of a luxury ecological tourist resort on its fully owned beach front property in Baía Formosa (north-eastern Brazil, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte). The project site covers an area of about 2,347 ha including approximately 6.5 km of coastline. The site benefits from good accessibility by car both from Natal and Joao Pessoa airports.

The project will be implemented using a phased development approach. The project has a masterplan (prepared by EDSA) that allows up to 2,641 units to be built. Most importantly, Gremi Group holds the final Installation License allowing to start construction, issued on December 27, 2018 by Environmental Agency of the state of Rio Grande do Norte.



Time Planning

The project is planned to be commercialized in 2020. Conceptual works are supported by Six Senses, EDSA, PKF Hotel Experts, GT Law Firm, Ernst & Young and many other firms and institutions. The project was introduced to the public for the first time at MIPIM 2016 gaining positive feedback from the market.

The first stage is being developed together with Six Senses Hotels and Resorts and it consists of two beach resorts (a total of 127 Guest Villas) and 58 Six Senses Residences.


Gremi International SARL has presented to the Government and Mr. Robinson Faria, the Governor of the state Rio Grande do Norte, the Eco Estrela Project assumptions and the current status of implementation. The total value of investment of about 1.5 billion dollars and the creation of approximately 400 direct and 4000 indirect jobs guarantee a strong support of the Rio Grande do Norte state government for the implementation of the Eco Estrela project. The Government of Rio Grande do Norte The Government of Rio Grande do Norte has best expressed its pride in the Eco Estrela Project launching the promotional movie (see below).
